Bethany Christian SchoolMENU
Welcome to our Week 9 newsletter, and our final newsletter for Term 1.
Easter
This week, we celebrated Easter through our chapel times. It was wonderful to see our students sharing in this important event and expressing their understanding and faith. We hope you enjoyed watching your children shine as they participated in our Easter chapels.
Thank you to all families for your support, whether by attending in person or watching online. Recordings of the chapels will remain available online for the next three weeks, so you can continue to enjoy them over the Easter long weekend and beyond.
School finishes early this Thursday to allow families time to travel for the Easter long weekend. Please take care if you are travelling.
Our Reception and Year 1 students will be celebrating with an Easter Hat Parade on Thursday morning. Families are warmly invited to come along, enjoy a coffee, hot cross bun and share a chat with staff and other parents.
Parent–Teacher Interviews have now been completed. Thank you for your engagement and for partnering with our teachers—it truly supports your child’s learning journey.
Traffic and Safety
We really appreciate the way many of you have been considerate during drop‑off and pick‑up times. Thank you for your patience and for helping traffic to flow safely. Please continue to keep school entrances clear to ensure everyone’s safety. Just a quick reminder to please refrain from riding e-scooters or e-bikes on the premises. This helps keep the area safe for all children and families. Thanks so much for your understanding and cooperation!
Important Dates
If you require care for your children during the holidays, Vacation Care is available, and OSHC will be open on Monday 27 April for our Pupil Free Day.
Easter Services
Bethany Church have two Easter services and you are welcome to come along at 10am on Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
I pray that you have a blessed Easter, a restful and refreshing school break, and we look forward to welcoming your children back, ready for learning in Term 2.
God bless you,

Year 6 Camp
Our Year 6 students are going on their camp in Week 2 of Term 2 from Wednesday, 6th of May to Friday, 8th of May 2026. The school will pack the medication that has been provided to the school. However, if your child needs any medication that needs to be administered, please make arrangements to prepare the medication along with a management plan or medication authority signed by a doctor by Wednesday 29th of April 2026, Week 1 of Term 2. All medications, including over the counter medication/herbal medications, need to have a doctor’s note. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the school on 8283 0000.
Medication and Medical Condition
It is important to update the school with any medical condition your child has, regardless of its severity. If your child suffers from any medical condition and needs medication to be administered at school, provide the school with the appropriate medication (with an expiry date) along with the management plan. The school does not administer any medication without a doctor's authorisation.
Remember to speak to us if you need any assistance in taking care of your children’s health care needs. Together we can develop a school health care plan to help our student’s wellbeing.
Our Year 5 students had an incredible time at camp during Week 8 at Woodhouse Adventure Park. It was truly a fantastic experience filled with fun, challenge, and personal growth.
Across the three days, students participated in nine different activities that encouraged them to work together, support one another, and build confidence. It was wonderful to see so many students step outside of their comfort zones and embrace new challenges with enthusiasm and determination. Throughout the camp, they demonstrated impressive growth in teamwork, empathy, and resilience.
The evenings were just as memorable as the daytime activities. On the first night, students enjoyed an exciting night walk, exploring the labyrinth and sharing plenty of laughter along the way. The second night brought even more excitement with a surprise Easter egg hunt, which was a highlight for many.
Of course, no camp would be complete without great food, and students were well looked after with delicious meals that kept everyone energised and ready for each day’s adventures.
Overall, the camp was a huge success, creating lasting memories and strengthening friendships. We are so proud of the way our Year 5 students represented our school and embraced every opportunity during this special experience.
