Deputy's Corner

Welcome back for our final term of the year! I trust that you all had a wonderful school break and are ready and raring to get stuck into all the exciting events and learning that will happen this term!

Market Day 2025

In Week 5, the Student Representative Council (SRC) students will be hosting the 2025 Market Day (Friday 14th of November). This exciting event gives students in Years 3–6 the opportunity to run their own market stalls selling homemade or second-hand items to all students, ELC – Year 6 during the lunch break. The stalls will not sell food or beverages. Application forms need to be submitted by Friday 24th of October (week 2). The SRC students will then begin all the planning that supports the successful running of the Market Day.

Additional forms have been made available to all the Year 3-6 classes, however if your child still requires a form, please see the Front Office for an application form.

Market Day has been a highlight in previous years, and the SRC is anticipating another fantastic turnout and a fun-filled day for all.

Summer Uniform

A quick reminder that Term 4 is summer uniform. All the details of the summer uniform requirements can be found in your child’s school diary on pages 15-17. If you have any questions, your child’s teacher can help you or you can visit our Uniform Shop.

I wish you all a wonderful start to the term.

God bless you,

HEALTHCARE

Lost Property

To help keep our school tidy and support a great cause, we’re updating how we manage lost property. Every fortnight (on the alternate week to our newsletter), we’ll clear the lost property shelves. If the designated space becomes overflowing, this may happen more frequently to ensure the area remains safe and organised.

Unclaimed drink bottles and lunch boxes will be donated, and uniforms will be passed to the Uniform Shop to be sold on the Golden Coin Rack, with all proceeds going to Hope Village.

We understand how frustrating it can be when uniforms go missing—especially given how costly they are. It also takes significant time and staff resources to sort and return items. By using the Golden Coin Rack, we’re able to offer families a low-cost way to replace lost items while supporting a meaningful cause.

We encourage families to check the lost property shelves regularly, located just outside the Uniform Shop. Labelling your child’s belongings clearly helps whoever finds the item return it more easily.

Please note: the school does not take responsibility for any lost property that is donated or resold.

Let’s work together to keep our school organised and support those in need!

Mini Olympics (Reception - Year 2) Report

On Friday the 19th of September, our Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 students gathered together to participate in our annual Mini Olympics event. We were treated to some beautiful sunshine throughout the day. The students were involved in a mix of athletics events such as the 70m sprint, vortex throw and long jump along with some fun events where students were able to embrace teamwork and get their bodies moving in different ways. The fun events included the water relay, jumping castles, mini golf, scooter board relays, tug of war and some playground time. It’s always fantastic to see students showing great character in the way they participate in the day as they try their best and encourage others. Our parent community once again came out in force to support our students. It was a great day of community and fun for our students, staff and parents. Thank you to everyone involved!
