Bethany Christian SchoolMENU
Welcome to our final newsletter for 2024. Thank you for supporting our Christmas Exhibition on Wednesday night last week. I really enjoyed the range of products and experiences that students created for us to enjoy. The weather cooperated with us and we were able to begin and end with our students singing together to share some of our favourite chapel songs with you. I hope that you enjoyed moving about with your family on the night. Our students really did shine in so many ways and it was great to spend time together as we explored Jesus the Promise. I would also like to say thank you for your generosity toward those in need and our Hope Village family. What a great opportunity to help others in need, and to shine the light of Jesus this Christmas.
Our Year 6 Graduation last night was another wonderful celebration. This year we see our first ELC children who have travelled with us over the past 8 years graduate in Year 6. This is a wonderful milestone to celebrate for our school community. We also look forward to our ELC Graduation on Thursday morning at 9:30am. Our final assembly is at 2pm online today. Please find the livestream link here: https://www.bethany.sa.edu.au/stream-final-assembly You can use to join this event live or over the next week at a more appropriate time with your family. This time of year, reminds us that growth and change are an important part of life and that we can learn to support one another and celebrate together.
At this time of year we also farewell any staff who have worked with us and are moving on. We thank Ms Emma Robertson for her two years with us in our Year 1 and Year 2 teams. We thank Mrs Emma Goldney who has worked in our Diverse Learning and Year 1 and Year 2 teams this year. Ms Katrina Evitts has worked in a number of roles at Bethany. She has graduated as a teacher and will move on to a full-time teaching role in 2025. We wish these staff well in the next stage of their careers and are grateful for the many contributions they have made to Bethany Christian School.
I pray that you and your family experience the love, peace, and joy of Christmas and that you will find time to enjoy some fun together. I also pray for God’s provision and safety and for a blessed start to 2025.
God bless you this Christmas.
Wendy Matear
Principal
