Colour Explosion Run 2021

From the Principal

Welcome to our final newsletter for 2021. We have reached the end of another year of learning. Our Year 6 students graduated last night in a wonderful celebration of their time with us. We are reminded that growth and change are essential parts of life and that although we do not control what happens around us, we can choose to have a positive attitude, resilience, and hope for the future. We are once again very proud of the way all of our students have conducted themselves this year and we look forward to a restful Christmas break.

The Colour Explosion Fun Run was a wonderful way that we were able to join with many of you to celebrate our community. Thank you to those who were able to come along and make this event such a success. Our students had a lot of fun and some of our teachers seemed to enjoy it just as much!

Our ELC students graduate this Thursday morning with a movie they have created as well as receiving certificates to commemorate their move from our ELC to ‘big school’. We are very proud of their growth and excited to see what is ahead for each of them.

We have included the list of class teachers so that you know the names of teachers who will be working with your children next year. We would like to thank Mrs Alana Munday who has stepped into our Indonesian teaching role this term. Mrs Rachael Chesson will be moving from our ELC into this role next year. We continue to pray for healing for Ibu Hester. We also thank Mr Joshua Pichugin who will be finishing up with us this year. Josh has been the IT Administrator for a number of years and we wish him well in his future endeavours. We also farewell Mrs Sarah Huntley who has worked within our library and in Education Support this year. Next year, our teaching team is joined by Mrs Emily Dodds in our Early Learning Centre.

In this newsletter you will find some important dates regarding uniform shop and OSHC for vacation care.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a blessed Christmas and a happy New Year. May you know God’s grace, favour and peace as you enjoy some time with your children over the school break. We look forward to seeing you in 2022.

God bless,

Wendy Matear
Principal
